This isn't because its a meant to be a particularly dangerous storm, they've just never bothered with issuing warnings for them before.

It is shame the BBC has gone that way a bit.

Having said that I think part is wanting to provide more precise warnings.

At home, never has warning like this at all until Black Friday 1987, when a tornado came through and killed 27 people.

It rained very, very heavily in the North of Spain over the weekend...what happens there often makes it's way to the U.K as they tend to share the same weather front...
